KINFRA Mega Food Park, Palakkad is a sector specific project for the Food Processing Industry undertaken by KINFRA. The project is implemented in accordance with the Mega Food Park Scheme (MFPS) of Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) Govt. of India. The project includes a Centralised Processing Centre located in 79.42 acres of land at Palakkad with basic infrastructure facilities and common processing facilities (core processing facilities) for setting up food processing units. Besides it also includes Primary Processing Centres in 4 locations Mazhuvannoor (Ernakulam district), Koratty (Thrissur district), Kakkencherry (Malappuram district) and Kalpetta (Wayanad district) for facilitating pre-processing of agriculture produce.
